Qingdao International Desalination Conference, jointly organized by China Desalination Association and other groups, supported by International Desalination Association, Asia-Pacific Desalination Association and related industrial organizations, is a grand, national-standard, academic and technical pageant. 1. The title of the paper should reflect the nature and content of the paper and be no more than 12 words in length. All authors' names (maximum of 8) should be listed with the given name in full, all middle names as initials, followed by the family name in full.
2. The length of the papers should be around 5,000 words, along with an abstract of 200-300 words.
3. Your digital figure files should not be separated from the text file. Text files (including figures) should be formatted to MS Word files, and remarked with full information of the speaker and/or organization. All margins 2.5 cm, Times New Roman, single spaced, all lines left-justified.
4. Program Overview
The course initially provides a basic approach for CAPEX and OPEX budgeting in the desalination industry, with a general overview of water management and planning issues both for RO and Thermal Plants. The course also provides details of water tariff financial modeling and tariff correction factors, and issues like private/public partnership.
The course will be delivered with practical examples of water tariff modeling and budgeting exercises and will include ¡°classroom exercises and discussions¡±.
